The Rocky Boy Reservation in Northern Montana, South of Havre, draws its name from a Chippewa leader called Stone Child, whose name in the course of time became Rocky Boy. It is the home of two groups – Chippewa and Cree. It is also a place of good songs and good singers, appreciated and respected by other Northern Palins drums.
Here on Volume Two are twelve songs made in the early winter of 1976 for the summer pow-wows. It is sung by four member of THE ROCKY BOYS – Rocky Stump, Alvin Windy Boy, John Windy Boy, and Charles Gopher.
